You may have seen this CNet Article Last week saying that office buildings waste energy and people’s time. The article is a press release promoting IBM’s “building modernization.”
“IBM estimates the cumulative time the U.S. office workers spent stuck in or waiting for elevators over the past 12 months is a mind-boggling 125 years.”
This lead one commenter to reply:
“I’m a big proponent of elevator neutrality. Smarter elevators are going to discriminate against people taking non-traditional routes. Don’t want Big Elevator deciding which people get priority! Down with Otis!”
I thought this was hilarious.
Binging (that still doesn’t sound right) “elevator neutrality” helped me find A Bold National Elevator Plan. It argues in favor of equal access to elevators.
